How much weight can I lose in a month? This is probably the most commonly asked question by a lot of people who are constantly on the go and continuously doing whatever they feel like doing. It doesn't matter whether you're in school at work or even running errands. The fact of the matter is, we're always moving and thus, there's always a possibility that we could be slouching behind or walking while leaning on something and therefore gain some weight.
So, how much weight can I lose in a given month? This question is basically guaranteed to get you absolutely fed up with asking it again. If you're asking this question, then you're basically telling yourself, need this extra weight loss junk to be over as quick as humanly possible so that you can save on money. You know full well that if you lose that many pounds in a week, then pretty soon you'll be able to buy that new sports car you've been wanting or that figure you've been dreaming of.
The real question then becomes, how do you lose weight without counting calories? That's a trick question that has yet to be answered completely but one Franschhoek gym resident had this to say when asked how much he could lose in a given month: "Only about two thousand calories a day." That's right, two thousand calories.
Now that might sound like a lot but think about this for a moment. Two thousand calories a day is equal to burning off about one pound of fat per week. Franschhoek offers workouts like circuit training and other fat burning exercises so you should definitely multiply those two figures by six to come up with the amount of calories required to lose weight per week. That may not seem like much but bear in mind that a pound of fat weighs four pounds. That should give you an idea of just how important your calorie intake is.
Dr. Webster says it's difficult to obtain a handle on how much weight a person can lose in any given month. He says one of the best methods for a healthy weight loss is a well-balanced diet and exercise program. He also says it's important to remember, "A pound of fat is equivalent to eight pounds of lean tissue." That means you really want to cut back on the calorie intake and increase the physical activity so you burn up more calories than you consume. A good rule of thumb is to eat foods that are high in protein while increasing the amount of physical activity by one or two hours a week.
Of course, Dr. Fransowicz cautions against over exercising. "Training too much can have very negative health consequences," he states. "The risks of gaining weight and developing poor fitness are greater when training aggressively." So you definitely shouldn't over train. The key is finding the right balance between the two.
One of the keys to a healthy weight loss program is to find a good food guide, one that gives you a good idea of how many calories you should be consuming per day and what type of food you should be eating that will help you lose weight. That way you can design a weekly meal plan that keeps you on track and on target with your calorie intake. You'll need to monitor your calorie intake closely and make any necessary adjustments as necessary to keep your weight under control.
One final factor to consider is your maximum amount of weight you can lose. If you are attempting to lose one hundred pounds, then you need to be able to lose that amount in a matter of months. However, if you are trying to lose two hundred pounds, three hundred pounds, four hundred pounds or more, it would be unrealistic to expect that you could lose that much in a given time frame. Setting a goal is important, but achieving it is even more important. Therefore, don't set yourself a hard and fast goal - just a reasonable goal.
